CHAPTER
Classical physics is valid as long as the physical dimensions of the
system are much larger than the De Broglie wavelength. Determine
whether the particle is classical in ench of the following cases:
(a) An electron accelerated through a potential of 300V in a device whose
dimen-sions are of the order of 1cm.
(b) An electron in the electon beam of a cathode-ray tube (anobe-cathode
voltage = 25kV).
(C) The electron in a hydrogen atom.
